Race Info: Ironman Boulder 2017 Cheering

Hello! Thank you for asking about my race on Sunday! I expect to be out on the run from about 3:00 - 8:00pm if all goes well. Times can vary A LOT.

The run course goes along Boulder Creek Path. There are many great places to spectate and I'll go by all of them at least four times (the course has three out and back sections and we do each of them twice).

The bike ends - and the run starts - at Boulder High School (16th and Arapahoe). We run East on the Creek Path to an intersection on the Creek Path called the Confluence, which is close to where Arapahoe and Marine Streets intersect (near FATE). Then, we go right/south, past East Campus to a turnaround point near the intersection of Foothills Parkway and Baseline Road, and then back to the Confluence. Next, we go right/north on the Creek Path to a turnaround point near 55th and Pearl Parkway, then back to the Confluence and back UP to, then past Boulder High School, past Eben G Fine Park to a turnaround point up by the Silver Saddle Motel. Then we go back down to the high school and keep going to repeat it all again. After the second time coming down from Eben G Fine, when we get to the high school, we turn left, and run up 13th Street to the FINISH LINE, which is on Pearl Street, at 1964 13th Street, Boulder, CO 80302.

There will be an athlete tracker link available Sunday on the Ironman Boulder site: track Whiting. And there are some apps for tracking athletes, too: IMTrackr, IronTrack, and IMTrk. They all pull results from the same data and can be unreliable, so don't worry if it seems like I've stopped for a long time! You can track people by either name or number (379).
